My most hated trig so far! Took the Musdale road and parked near the waterfall. Backtracked along the road and cut up beside a house. As it was June we had to battle through bracken up to our armpits until we got to the trees. Another battle through them before eventually reaching the trig. There were incessant flies, clegs everywhere and I came back covered in ticks! Still - cracking views to Ben Cruachan & Loch Feochan! :-)

Been twice now. First time in snow, second time more in the mist. Will return on a nicer day. Pathed from the main road up the forest, but still haven't found a route through the trees. Just kind of went for it the best I could.

Park on hard standing leading to wood (dead end) NM 9003 2439. Mapped track to moorland gate at NM 9041 2501 - more a grassy path with ATV (pleasant). Then rides - NW to 9029 2528, NE to 9040 2535, SE to 9058 2506, ESE to 9070 2504. Then struggle thru' trees.

Great walk / fight to get to this trig while staying at the new house of the same name in the valley below. Followed the map marked path from the West to its end at the FC boundary then fought the rest of the way through the trees. Watch for ticks - took a while to pick all the little buggers off me and Master QB after this one. Fantastic views when you get there - not a cloud on the day we went up.

Approached from SSW. Up via mapped track to NM903250. This path continues unmapped, eastwards by ~250m until its end. Then there is a massive conifer fight to get to the summit. Maps of all scales show limited detail of forest breaks. Open grassy top above conifers. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces south, compass measurement 171°. Vented through sight hole on FB face. Panoramic view from top.

vgc. Metal cap, wide raised letters. Neat crag-girt summit, fine view, a simpler version of Deadh Choimhead. Sitkas on S slopes not on my old LR49 but knew of them from a previous recce. From bridge to S, fairly obvious direct route via tree bands and steep heather slopes, then ridge leads N then E, then band of dense Sitkas precedes summit. Back same way no problem.
