Rode south down dead end lane and pulled up just by the footpath entrance to the Hollow’s Wood. Continued south on foot for another couple of hundred metres. Pillar in the woods so no views. Raised S prefix. Showing signs of slight damage with a crack across two sides. Could be just superficial. A few metres further on is a telecommunications mast. Handy picnic bench close to pillar, covered in gouged initials. Some views to the west from nearby clearing for electricity and telegraph lines.

Cycled here with the final approach along a footpath. Easy to find. Sat on a nearby bench and munched a sandwich before heading home.

Approached via Woodland Trust woods from end of Well Hill Lane. Very wet and muddy path. Trig point close to mast on LHS of the service track. A group of engineers working on the mast show no interest in us wandering around the darkness with head torches. The nearby Bo-Peep inn serves a good pint of Adnams.

Using backroads you can park at tone of the entries to the Woodland trust land and walk up on good tracks all the way. Trick is not to go onto the motorway link but instead tak the minor road off the roundabout immediatly before it. No real views though but a pleasant walk to end the day

Found this one right on the money. Approach from Well Hill village to the very end of the lane then 50m along a woodland walk. The large communications array a few metres away may account for Alan's dubious GPS readouts :-)

This one was a bit difficult to reach. It involved a walk through woods and over a bridge which spans an M25 spur road near junction 4. The wooded nature of the terrain caused the GPS to go haywire as I neared the trigpoint. However, in the end it was sitting there in a small clearing close to the path I was using.

I'm writing this in Aug 2018 having just dug out some old maps and found notes on a few trigs I did 20+ years ago before I even realised this site existed! This was bagged (definitely 1995 but estimated date) whilst walking the dog from home (at the time) in Biggin Hill and my map notes say, "No views. Close to unmarked mast amidst woods. Lots of holly. Follow path to other side of enclosure for views to S."
