One of two quick roadside pillars passed by with Jon Glew on our way to rented accommodation in Wark. Short inspection of its condition, one photo for the records and then off on our way again.

Parked ~125m SE along the road in a field entrance, could try verge parking at the trig, but a busy road today and it's also on brow of a hill. Pillar sits on the road side of a thorn field boundary; original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; sight holes not checked.

Fine, easy little visit to this prominently-placed pillar. Painted white, but perhaps needing a 'new coat'. Pillar has its original cap with deep lettering; couldn't determine the state of the sight-holes (hidden).

Easy roadside trig but added a bit of interest by parking in Bowmont Forest and incorporating it into a 4 mile circular run coming out onto the road just south of trig.

Roadside pillar on grass verge of lane. Original plug with deeply-indented letters. Traces of paint on N side. Sightholes below ground level. Great views N/E/S. Good spot!

Have driven past this one many times in the past without realising it was there! Bagged en route to Linton Hill but prob should've done them the other way round weatherwise lol. Decent views for such a low-lying trig.

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 14th March 1953 costing £17.11s.0d. In 1954, flush bracket S7389 was levelled for height. This marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NT72/T105 in the Jedburgh secondary block during 1957 and was last maintained by the OS in September 1986. Roadside job.
