Followed Borders Abbeys Way from Lindean Moor then cut E through 3 gates into Trig Field. Very straight forward and lovely easy going. Fabulous 360 degree panorama.

Good parking for ~6 cars to N at end of public road to Upper Faldonside (NT 5108 3300). Did a few hills on the way down. Pillar has lost its centre cap, asphalt plug replaces it; all sight holes open, albeit due to deteriorating plugs. Extensive views.

A lovely walk through about 6 gates. As others have said very good views across the hills to many familiar places considering it's quite low. Very quiet, but lots of sheep!

Local to me but this is the first time Ive been to this one. I parked at Lindean reservoir car park, and a decent round walk can be constructed via the Outer Whitlaw farm track and back via the Border Abbeys Way path. A sunny but very windy afternoon, with fabulous views all round. Numerous other hills with pillars on them can be identified. Still carries traces of white paint.

Parked at Whitlaw Mosses Nature Reserve car park. Walked along and past Over Whitlaw farm to the wood on the far side, if cows are in the field then the wood can be negotiated but it is full of nettles. Only sheep this time so walked up the field and into the trig field.

Route as Borderer. Walked up through the wee wood to avoid upsetting the cattle. Vicious nettles in there, stung me through my clothes.

Parked at the Whitlaw Mosses car park (watch out for the giant pot-hole at the entrance) then along the signposted track for Bowden. Before reaching Over Whitlaw Farm headed straight up to the pillar avoiding the cattle. Good views especially over to the Eildons.
