A bit of a bonus Trig. The A4176 was closed so went up road that goes past Golf course and left bike by gate and walked along FP. Trig has been moved to hedge line. Rather a sad Trig. The farmer could have kept it upright.

moved, toppled, desecrated.. There seems more pillars toppled in these parts than West Shropshire..maybe just a coincidence.. I'd hope the local community maybe rescue ol' 1882 & perhaps find him a spot to see out his days in a more dignified fashion. Farmer John clearly doesnt want folk wandering his hedgerows. Thing is, If it was resited would we still want to visit its original grid ref?

The cheek of it As mentioned previously. some disrespect has been shown. I understand its in the middle of your field but come on, Just replant it somewhere. Maybe by the right of way?
Fb as proof if it were needed Maybe the local village will adopt it some day..
Do you see? Lying recumbent on the horizon our pillar has had better days. The sign can be rotated so you havent seen it...
