roadside ish trig

Parked on narrow roadside verge opposite field gate and waited out a heavy shower. Over the gate into a cattle pasture, complete with benign cattle (nice family group of dad, several mums and babes, all happy and ignoring me). Pillar is vgc retaining an original centre cap, raised lettering; LHS sight hole open. Extensive (flat) views.

A walk up a field on South Uist's machair. Intact and good condition. Views over Benbecula and Baleshare's beaches. Had to brake for a corncrake crossing the road when leaving.
