Swansea Guildhall Clock Tower

Not difficult to find out what time I logged this one as its a clock tower. I've been in there a few times, once in 1979 for my graduation ceremony, a couple of time for talks including Chris Bonnington and a few times to see bands such as Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. I used to walk by it every day when I lived in the city and walked down the Mumbles Road to college. I seem to remember getting wet quite often.

Grade I listed neo-classical building constructed 1930-4. Tapering central clock tower c48m high. Fine looking building.

SN80 INT004 Tower. Swansea Guildhall was designed by Sir Percy Thomas. Constructed 1930-34 and cost £300,000. Clad in Portland Stone. The Art Deco Clock Tower includes Prows of Viking Long Ships as Sweyn Forkbeard was said to have founded Swansea.
