Roadside parking at field entrance just S of Aelwyd Uchaf. Short walk over sheep pasture to stock fence (NT boundary), and up bramble/fern covered hillside to summit. Pillar, co-located with trig pillar. Monument surrounded by metal railings; plaque in Welsh language.

Sir William Thomas (born Hirgraig, Llanrhyddlad 5th Dec 1836 - died Liverpool 1915) was High Sheriff of Anglesey, Justice of the Peace and Twice Mayor of Bootle. Moved to Liverpool in 1854 and became Ship Insurance & Broking Manager.
