A very seaside church I always think - walk too far to the Ribble estuary which gives us opportunity for a good drenching on the way back.

At first glance it looks like a very ornate mosque. The design is apparently Byzantine , the white look down to using faience tiles and it was opened 1912.

The White Church. Constructed from glazed masonry. Must have cost a fortune to build in its day, but certainly elegant and unusual, but there are other building in the same style in Blackpool.
