After a kayak out to Nave Island. Parked by the cattle grid at entrance to Ardnave Farm. Nice sheep pasture for ~350m then into awkward ground. Picked up mapped track at the ruined bldg (NR 2740 7218), followed that (marginally better ground) for ~1.2k then veered of. The outcrop is obvious, but fractured and partially grassed/heathered over. Cleared a good amount of turf from the high point, but subsequently looking at the OS Sketch seems it's at the other end of the outcrop... doh! Not one I'll be going back for... soon.

GPS indicates heathery NW slope of rounded rock outcrop, 5m N of highpoint, itself covered in grass, no sign of pipe, iron or otherwise. Was presumably sunk into ground beside outcrop. Possibly buried or rusted away. From NE, Ardnave, track runs out a mile short, slow spongy ground
