There are 2 old metal water towers at this location, no indication from the OS as to which one had the bolt. They are not in too bad a condition, brown, but not rusty and ladders look stable enough, but with bolt destroyed no point in climbing them. Either way OS records trig as destroyed Feb 1989.

It wasn't that I couldn't find it. I did not fancy a climb up rusty metal without the correct Health and Safety equipment.

The metal water tower appears to still be in existence - it is very rusty and surrounded almost entirely by tall trees. It stands on the north side of the minor road within a walled and fenced area. I decided not to risk life and limb climbing the rusty ladder I could see from the roadside! The OS database has the bolt as "Destroyed 02/69".
