Nice old Victorian water tower. Got stuck in horrible traffic jam departing from adjacent outlet shopping complex (converted from train workshop sheds) and a rebuild of one of Swindon's many "magic roundabouts".

The Pattern Store is one of those marvellous old buildings from the industrial age that have survived intact. Part of Swindon's railway engineering past, it was built in 1897 to house the wooden patterns for parts required in the locomotive works. Along with the 4 section water tank, that extends across the entire roof of the building and is still extant, it is Grade II listed. Currently an Italian restaurant occupies the ground and 1st floors, with residential accommodation above. The Bolt is on the roof of the bldg.
