2 inch bolt in block at summit, 2m WNW of tree, 5cm down, left open. Cast iron I-beam (Jon's photo) approx at location of flagstaff, isn't remains of a FS I think. There's also a 3m tall concrete column nearby (Trigger's photo). OS records both marks as destroyed 10/74, but the Block seems to have made a good recovery. Public access, parking to SE, Orchard Rd

Remains of what looks like it could have been a flagstaff at grid reference. Bluebells in full bloom today!

Short walk up from road from SZ 57460 81235, initially on RoW. 4' iron post found at precise GR for flagstaff so assume this is remains. Did not look for the block.

SU31 T253 FLAGSTAFF and BLOCK. Unable to find an access point to the top of the hill. Area with extensive trees and rhodedendron bushes. No flagstaff, or remains, visible from our vantage point. Reported destroyed 10/74.
