On top of an old (though still used) water tower so inaccessible

RAF Beaulieu 1942-59. Main runways were located between the B2055 and B3054. Not much left of the station... except for the water tower, which looks in very good condition. Lately managed by the Bournemouth and West Hants Water Co, but now in foreign ownership - sembcorp is listed on the Singapore exchange. Tower stands to one side of Roundhill Campsite; presume Bolt is on the roof - high security fencing soon dampened down any gung-ho thoughts!

Spoke to water engineer on site. He was unaware of bolt on roof but will take a look next time he is up there.
