Nice solidly built church with a benchmark on the SE corner. Navigated here to get out of town to work out a route North as the A595 had been completely closed for road works

St John's, a Pre-Victorian church, consecrated 22 Jul 1811, surprisingly not a listed building. Presume the Bolt is on the tower roof. Trig is oddly described as an Apex by the OS, which is more usually for an intersected station. Church locked today, so no opportunity for a search. Nice clear cut mark on SE angle of the S aisle.

NY11 T096 BOLT. St Johns, foundation stone laid 1911. Cut BM SE corner of Church. Not clear why this trigmark has the term "apex". The Tower position corresponds to the GR, regardless no access to bolt.
