Wow. All the feel of the Quirang without the crowds. Never saw a soul. Parked at Loch Langaig at Flodigarry and set of up the path. This climbs steadily up into the rock pinnacled amphitheatre below the cliffs and turns right to achieve the ridge at one of the few weaknesses in the curtain of rock. An airy walk then leads to the bolt site. This is quite near the edge so I was very careful. The Trigpointing App steadied up on a particular spot, so I started probing. An hour later and various false holes and I was for giving up. It was no hardship though as I had the place to myself, there was glorious sunshine and the views were breathtaking. I then spotted a single small rock and remembering the OS often protected their bolts under small cairns, lifted it up. Underneath were various small stones and under those was the bolt. The OS certainly didn’t make it easy to find some of these rascals. Readings and photos were taken and I enjoyed the walk back to the car.
