Forestry has been clearfelled so the the trig has finally seen daylight for the first in long! Forestry track all the way. Beware of the deep drainage channel close to the trig!

The pillar is apparently in good order but it has no ID plate. There is no recess for the plate and I could see no fixing holes making it appear that it has never had an ID plate.

Parked on some hardstanding SW of the quarry (NX 0733 6777) after chatting with farmer. Good forest logging road all the way to a break ~160m NW of the trig. Pillar sits in middle of a wide rough break, built with no FB, it retains an original centre cap, raised lettering. No views. Continued on to Mid Moile hill then Cairn Hill pillar for a 14k circular walk.
