Was with a non trig bagging friend visiting Falls of Kircraig and Fionn Loch. He agreed to have a kip and wait for me whilst I had a 2 hour detour to the pillar. The track up to the Loch and then to Elphin is very good. Cross country from where the track has passed the west end of the lochbut easy going.

Stone-built without FB, spider intact ( raised lettering ) VGC. Impressive situation under the great frowning prow of Suilven where I was returning from heading to Glen Canisp Lodge.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Stonebuilt, built without FB, recentish pointing, reminiscent of Griomaval seen a few days earlier. View unsurprisingly dominated by Suilven which from here seems to lean a bit to R. Grassy rocky summit. From NW, Strathan, follow house drive then mapped path, then fairly easy ground. Nice scenic walk to end the day.

No FB. Plinth on top looks fairly new. Has 1985 scratched in concrete around base. Hell of a walk in!
