Tower still there but access to the bolt location was not possible.

Grade II* listed home of Eve Branson, mother to Richard. The tower is part of the 16thC rebuild. The lady I spoke with was unable to give me access and knew nothing of an OS trig station, but she did give me a number to call. ***Update 13 Jun 17. After several phone calls it transpires that the tower is currently undergoing a major refurbishment including having a new roof fitted. The bolt had been found, covered with lead sheeting, presumably from previous work. The contractor removed the bolt and has it in his workshop. He is sending me photographs. I also spoke with the architect who believes the family will be creating a display of some of the more interesting objects found during the tower renovations and that the trig bolt may form part of that. I emailed him some history of it. Hopefully I'll be kept informed of its final destination.
