Log #433. Standard route from layby north of Distillery, up via Dumgoyne and Clachertyfarlie. Dumgoyne was great, the rest not so much. Very boggy in places, and was originally planning to continue south from pillar to Dumbreck, but it was way too soggy with flurries of light snow. Good views to Loch Lomond and over the greater Glasgow area. Pillar in decent condition, not much else to note. [ExP-301/MiP-35/Rev-6/BM-29/IS-43/Other-19]

I came up here from the south by way of Dumbreck trig pillar and then, once done, I headed down Fin Glen towards Lennoxtown. Whilst at the top I was treated to some of the best long range views on offer. I could already see the mountain peaks of Arran and now the unmistakable shape of Ailsa Craig was in sight too, sticking out of the sea many miles away. In the other direction the vista was just as impressive; ranging from the Arrocher Alps in the west to the Perthshire Hills in the east.
