Parked at the pull-in by Moyness Cairn & Stone Circle. Walked along the road and entered the field beside the cottage to the NW of the pillar. Short walk along edge of field and up the slope to the pillar. Pillar in very good condition with all fixings in place. Dreich day, so views spoiled, though I could see over the Moray Firth towards the Black Isle & Easter Ross. Views also over Nairnshire & Morayshire.

Parked up on the corner further down the road by the woods and walked back along the road before walking into the field entrance just beyond the house. From there an easy wander along the edge of the field and up the slope to the trig.

Cycled across from Crowhall and pretty much managed to get right up to the Trig. All metal work intact. Good views and going to remember this one having left my shades on top of the pillar whist taking GPS reading. Hence having to return back after getting back down to the road. Only logged once though.

Following the sat nav woman and officially don't have a clue where I am. Parked at corner of woods and followed a good track to the pheasant rearing pens and then followed a blue hosepipe which then led to a track up to the trig. . Not the greatest of views but another new pillar.

Log #36. Parked at Earlseat, in at the (currently) empty barn. Probably should have waited til the field was ploughed, but I followed the tracks as much as possible. Lots of bluebells growing on the hill. Great views through 180* from north to south. View east is obscured a little by the gorse. [ExP-36/MiP-0/BM-0]
