Drive out with my daughter to break the November doldrums. Easy roadside bag with parking available almost next to the trig. Just be careful taking photos that you don't step back onto the road without thinking. Pillar in good condition with white coat slightly fading now. Nice views on edge of Peak District. There are 4 "Grange Hill" pillars and I now have 2 of them. The other 2 are in Scotland so future targets for a full house.

Despite many side roads closed due to snow, this lane was clear thank goodness. You literally cant miss the pillar and can pull in by its side. I prefer walking/cycling to bag trigs, but weather and time not in my favour today. A guy who ran ultra races in Alaska and Northern Canada recommended Buffalo mitts. The best and gifted the three today.

(1851) A nice and easy roadsider. There's even a pull-in just passed the pillar. All in good condition - centre cap is non original though - and everything painted gleaming white. Good open views at the location. But no sign of Tucker, Alan and Benny... Pillar history: Built on the 26th of August 1937, at a cost of £6 1s 0d. Last maintained by the OS in May of 1983.
