Approached from north along the A16. Pulled over at turning to the west about 400 metres south of the roundabout. Across the busy road to the east. First thought was it is in the mast compound which is fenced off. Checked map again and looked along the hedge line then spotted pillar. About fifty metres north of the field entrance. Spider and cap in place. Views to north.

Parked in the lay-by next to the new tower. The trig pillar is located on the field side of a busy road.

Roadside bag (1/2) on way home from seal spotting at Donna Nook. With the extended family who mostly wimped put and stayed in the car to avoid the storm conditions. Itchy.

Parked in roadside pull in just after junction and walked back to field. Easy roadside bag trig hidden in the edging with the flush bracket facing into the field. Views over open fields Pillar does still have all its metal work

4 of 6 cycle trig bagging round Louth. Easy to find on the field side of a hedge along a main road. Good views E and Louth's church spire. On to Kelstern by car, legs are tired.

Parked on quiet road near radio mast and walked on busy road for a very short distance. Next to the house is a gap in hedge to go thro and the trig is alongside hedge near the Louth sign. See photo.

(45) Parked up next to the radio mast, and walked the short journey to the pillar. The view from the roadside at this time of year is not the best, but the hedge is very gappy in places, so getting into the field for a better look is not a problem. REVISIT: 6.10.18 I often pass by this one, so thought this time around I'd stop and revisit. Still in good condition. Field empty of crop, and hedge easily manoeuvred around - as it was on the previous visit. Pillar history: Built on the 20th of June 1939, at a cost of £4 11s 9d. Last maintained by the OS in February of 1981.

Joint visit with Carole. Roadside pillar so access is very straight forward. We parked on the lane just off the main road near the radio mast and walked back to the pillar. Everything in good order.

Not visible from the A16 at this time of the year because of the hawthorn hedge, but the TP is just the other side.

TP4168 The trig turns its back on the A16 to look over the Lincolnshire marshes.
