Quite easy to locate, just look for the mast from the forest road, walk towards the mast and the pillar will be on the left hand side, the ground is boggy so expect to get you boots wet :-)

On a 11 mile walk bagging this and Ton Mawr. Straight forward walk on tracks except for the last bit.

Walked from Craig Yr Aber upper, following the forestry paths for the most part. Very very boggy near trig which is situated in a clearing near to a mast.

1 of 2 trigs for the day - parked at Margam country park and walked up via a stone circle and the remains of the Abbey. Lovely day for it. boggy in the fire break of the forest, but easily found near the mast.

Nice parking opposite entrance drive to golf club SS 83735 91886. Steady walk from here. Boggy near trig.

Walked from Bryn Woods down to Cwmwernderi reservoir and then up to the trig point at Mynydd Margam. View not great from trig point but great views along the walk on a clear day.

Parked at Coed Cwm Kenfig woodland and took footpaths and St Illtyds Way to reach wide fire break through forest which easily led to radio mast and pillar. A few boggy patches but as no rain recently easy going. No view but a spacious pleasant surrounding on a sunny day.

2/3 after coming over from the wet Moel Tonmawr, again over good tracks until 300m away came to very wet ground up to the foot of the mast to find a good dry trig on a slightly raised mound. No views except trees and pool filled pathways. All in place at the trig don't think many venture up this way due to the final section path is very overgrown. Just realised added wrong pics will do again.

Second trig of the day after Moel Tonmawr. Parked at Graig Fawr and hiked along St Illytyd’s Way and Ogwr Ridgeway. Good paths till you reach the edge of the forest. Very boggy. Good condition and FB, spider and plug intact.

Circular walk from Brombil also visiting Moel Tonmawr and Mynydd Brombil. However, no access to Mynydd Brombil due to wind farm and no access to Moel Tonmawr due to forestry work. A nice walk nevertheless

Had stroll up from Margam Park. Made a similar mistake to Paulxtr. Got my way around all the fallen trees but then encountered the young trees with now way through. So back down to the road approached from North West through fire break and there it was. A trot through very boggy ground by we're in Wales after all. New mast has just been installed right by if that helps. Continued on my stroll, nice 10 miler.

Fairly easily accessed but care must be taken crossing marshy ground between the forestry road and the trig point pillar which is sighted on slightly raised fround

Parked in small car park on road SE of pillar. Followed forestry tracks but gave in to the temptation to short cut once S of the trig. The attempt failed amid awful bog and fallen trees. Back onto the track and finaly gained the pillar from the NW. Carried on to Moel Tonmawr.

Parked at forest car park on minor road to SE. Walked good forest vehicle tracks until close to trig then off piste over marshy, v. uneven ground to trig, located on a little raised area so dry under foot - lunch stop! Pillar is in good condition; original cap in place; 1 sight hole open. Young conifer plantation around it so no views.

Yep SidandBob, I was also up here for the puzzle cache but took in a couple of trigs too. This one was the easy one! Plug in place. A crisp and clear January day.

It seems that most of those that have logged this trig have been in search of a certain puzzle cache. A beautiful day. Took a much harder route over the last few 100 feet than I needed to. Trig in great condition. Found benchmark on the way back down.

Parked at Brombil and followed the path along the stream up to TP5003 then accross the woodland walks to the trig. I recommed doing these two together in one hit. Views to North are good but there is a lot of young trees blocking views at the trig.

Followed forest tracks most of the way, with some rough and boggy ground on the final approach. Good views to the coast on the way.

We didn't choose the best weather for our walk, so views were limited, but we could still enjoy some spectacular steep-sided valleys. The trig point sits on a dry mound surrounded by a wet tussocky plateau - not easy walking at this time of year.

Found while placing a cache in the area. If you are coming from the south east don't take the ride in wet weather - very squishy! Good views all around today.
