Parked in the small layby behind the Burton Bradstock sign, and walked north up the PROW, which was flowing with rainwater, phenomenally muddy, and very slippery. Just about managed to reach the trig before sunset. Even with the setting sun hidden behind a belt of cloud, the view from this pillar - particularly south out to sea, was beautiful. A must-bag in daylight on a dry day!

Parked at end of lane about three quarters of a mile west of St Catherine’s Cross. Then west along bridleway track. After about four hundred metres view opened up to south and south west across a field, in the second field beyond on a high point, pillar was visible. Took a fairly direct line across open grassy field. Over fence in south west corner and continued on to pillar. Good views all around, including Colmer’s Hill to north west and Hardy Monument to east. Etched FB, groan. Cap missing.

Sunny viewpoint. Parked at the entrance to Freshwater Beach Holiday Park then up fields to trig then along to Tump summit on a sunny afternoon.

Parked in a little road called Wych Ridge, then up Wych Hill and out via a footpath and into the countryside to easily find this pillar which has an open cap and one s/h open.

A short walk from West Bay having sailed from Dartmouth this morning - nice to stretch ones legs! On concrete plinth at hill top. In field grazed by cows. Very fine view point which includes Portland Bill which we will hopefully 'round' tomorrow

Set on a plinth in a field off the footpath so we thought it was a bit trespassy. However, on the way back to the gate, we met a man with a dog who said that in 30 years of walking to the trig daily from Bothenhampton, he had never met anyone on the way. He was dead chuffed! Wonderful views east and west.

Footpath from near Burton Bradstock, though three gates tied/chained shut. Gorgeous sunny late afternoon with great views along coast - to South Devon to SW. Sixth tick of the day.

Late afternoon stroll from E side of Bridport - lovely sunshine, delightful views. Investigated non-pillar trig named Pill Box at SY4709591315 listed as a Bolt on the way shown on some modern 1:25k maps by mistake. Guess possibly WWII pill box. Dense scrub at the location - couldn't tell if pill box still present.

Excellent views as mentioned. I drove the track passed Bennetts Hill Farm and walked from there. As Anthony V said, lots of sheep (& lambs).

Another first visitor this year.Also another training run from the car. This one can be accessed from the Burton Road via a nice private road oppersite the Post box on the wall.There is no mention that you have access to the foot path untill you get to the top turn right and follow the path. The Trig is then easy to spot.There is an obvious path off the main path. Good views of both Golden Cap and Colmers hill. plenty of sheep.

Bagged trig at start of very enjoyable day with my dear wife. Parked at Bennet's Hill Farm. Glorious views along Dorset Coast. Lots of sheep in nearby fields.

A pleasant if slightly muddy walk up from Burton Lodge. As you reach the top of the hill follow the faint tractor track which bears off left, and not the footpath, and this will bring you straight to the trig. Good views of West Bay. Plug with heavily indented lettering.
