Another brilliant trig walk. Started from a layby in Glen Drynoch and went up over Broc Bheinn. Fairly long winded route but weather spectacular and nobody on the moor but me and a few deer

HISTORY: Pillar completed 1st May 1958 costing £67.1s.2d. Computed as secondary triangulation station NG24/52 within the Skye block during 1958. Levelled for height to Class 2 precision also in 1958. Last maintained by the OS in April 1978. SITE VISIT: Overall approach from west. Parked in wide track entrance at NG389349. Followed mapped estate track to Bealach Mòr ~NG411356. Beeline route SE across rough ground followed by steep climb to summit. Open grazing hill. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces west, compass measurement 268°. All four sight holes open, pillar bolt visible. Spectacular 360° panoramic view includes the Cuillin Ridge, Rum, Canna, South Uist, MacLeod's Tables, North Uist, Harris, Storr, Dun Caan, Glamaig, Blabheinn.
