Marked as a trig pillar on the OS map, but only the bolt is present. Had me slightly confused until I noticed this.

Came here expecting a trigpoint because the trig symbol is marked on the map. No trig here but may be incorporated into the reservoir structure as there is a bolt on the roof.

Found whilst walking The Ridgeway National Trail. My son spotted the TP symbol and we found a metal ladder to the rear of the building that allowed easy access to the roof and found the Bolt towards one corner.

I'm now climbing buildings for the art of trigpointing! Hauled myself up on nearby tree to clamber onto the roof of this reservoir and ended up covered in elderberry juice, to find my very first bolt. Is it always this exciting?

Watch out for the protruding overflow pipe in the NE corner where I hoiked myself up onto the top - I didn't watch out for it and have the mark on my forehead to prove it! Mostly fields for views to W and NW, other directions hidden by trees. I found both the bolt and the rivet (the rivet is close to the NW corner of the roof, about 1.5m WNW of the large bolt. Further details and photos to follow...

Not much to add to previous comments - Bolt and a nearby Witness Rivet clearly visible on the slab covering the reservoir.

We were visiting the area to go to a party and I wanted to revisit this area to rebag the repositioned county top and Hump. Walked down fron Liddington Castle along the Ridgeway to bag this one, or should I say two.

The 2 inch diameter bolt is situated near the north-west corner of the concrete cover of an old reservoir in the Marlborough Downs to the north of the town. The site was reached by means of the adjacent Ridgeway footpath from Copse Drove to the south. The top of the reservoir is about 5 foot high and is easily scaled. As noted by Pyoung1s there is also a 1cm rivet near the edge of the cover. The site is in an area of gently rolling downland of large fields. The edge of the downs is to the north overlooking parts of Swindon and lower, flatter land disappearing into a hazy horizon. Martinsell in the Pewsey Downs can be seen in the south and the hazy outline of the north-eastern fringe of Salisbury Plain could be seen in the far south east.

Station SU19/T062. Bolt. On roof of the older reservoir in the SW quadrant of the junction of the byways, towards the NW angle of the reservoir. Not too difficult to pull up onto the roof. Delightful December morning, strolled along Ridgeway from S. Still marked on 1:25k maps.
