The assault to this bolt began on the track down beside Barbreck River, 500m west of the top of Corlach. The first section was through deciduous woodland which posed little problems, but the last, very steep, bit, through thick bracken ... well, I was glad once that was behind me and I had made it safely over the crest. Immediately, I couldn't help but notice the three unmistakable Paps of Jura rising up far beyond Loch Craignish. Incredible. The bolt itself is impossible to miss as long as you are looking in the right place. It's as big as a teacup! I descended down the same slope just a bit further along, but it was still a poor route. Maybe a better way is going as far as Barnlunich and then up over Meall Reamhar.
