Caught bus from Shawbost to Carloway for walk back along coast. Small diversion to visit bolt althoguh some maps show a trig point here. Easily found about 20 metres from prominent cairn.

25mm diameter bolt set in rock slab 18paces SSW of summit cairn.

Surprised to find this is a bolt, not a trig pillar as apparently marked on OS 1:25 map? Bolt is on slab near cairn. Parked at Dalbeg with lovely white waterlilies.

3cm bolt cemented into crack in slabby outcrop, 14m S of shelter cairn. From Dalmore car park
