Back in Pateley Bridge (via the Dalesbus) after Ouster Bank & Sandy Hill earlier (was going to walk via Kettlestang Hill but was strapped for time) but with time to spare in Pateley decided to give this one a go. Another steep rise to Wath Lane. The gate Rad mentions is just before the road bends, approx 400 yards west of Somerset House, thereafter either follow the obvious track leading slighty left uphill or follow the walls. The signs at the gate say this is now access land - no dogs allowed. Fairly decent view from the trig - Im amazed no-ones mentioned that its set atop an absolutely huge rabbit warren
