KJ Gloriously sunny day and walked up to the end of the Oil Road before following the clear track which after the recent good weather was springy and bouncy rather than a squelchy plod. Very easy climb to whitewashed trig which was glaringly white in the sunshine and what we are told was the Slaughter Stone which we sat on to eat lunch. Good moorland views all round with Pendle Hill prominent.

Boulsworth Hill didn't look very interesting until we reached the top where there are lots of interesting rocks and we could see snow covered hills way in the distance up the Yorkshire Dales. It is VERY boggy up there, so some bits were a struggle but well worth it.
