Parked on the handy layby on the B3092 to the east, and followed the path up. Some great views from the top of the knoll, and this should have been an enjoyable bag. It wasn't anything of the sort. Herd of cows at the top of the hill chased me halfway across the field, then down into the woods on the right. Having eventually escaped them, I then find myself at the bottom of the steep west end of the knoll, exhausted, and with a significant climb back up to the pillar. Pillar chipped at the top. Expansive view, scenic location... if it weren't for the all too lively livestock I'd probably have scored this a 9. Fortunately, they didn't reappear as I limped back across the hilltop to my car.

Parked on A362 by entrance to PROW. Not recommended because you can't see traffic approaching around the bend on exit. Very pleasant walk along a windy ridge with great views. CD installation still there, glittering in the sun below.

Pulled in a a lay-by about quarter of a mile south of Maiden Bradley on the west side of the road at the start of the footpath heading west along the knoll. Fairly steep climb up to start then along the ridge for about a mile. Great views to south all the way along. Pillar comes into view about half way along as the path clears a line of trees to the north of the path. Dips down a little and pillar goes out of sight for a while. Last reasonably steep climb to the pillar. Great views all around. Cap plugged.

The path to the south was not very obvious and mostly obscured from the road. Passes through somebodies garden before heading up the hill. Garden was very overgrown as was the route up the hill, but good views once up. Path to the east heads down onto busy road with a small layby for parking.

Met up with family for a few hours in Stourhead Gardens, and a lovely day ensued. After the inevitable picnic, we decided to tackle this inviting-looking ridge of land, Long Knoll. Brilliant walk & wonderful views on this ridiculously hot autumn day. At present, there is an art installation on Long Knoll in the form of a mile long fence of 120,000 CD's creating a sparkling, shimmering, glittering spectacle in the sunlight. It's called The Ribbon Of Light by Bruce Munro, and is in appreciation of NHS workers. Created in April 2020, it should be here for a year. I loved it. The first CD I looked at was by Kylie. Yeah, I should be so lucky. The next? The best of Halloween Music. I thought I'd stop there! Pillar fine with asphalt cap, and all four sight-holes closed. I thoroughly and artfully recommend this one! (Has to be on a sunny day).

12 mile walk from Mere taking in Long Knoll and White Sheet Hill trigs and various hills in sunny/overcast weather, steep pull onto Long Knoll from Homestalls then along ridge to B3092 (this can be avoided by hacking through trees on west side of road then half way along changing to the east verge, onto Little Knoll. Afterwards drove round and did Barrow Street and Little Hill roadside trigs after walk.

Pick a bad place to park for this one, just off the road at Rag wood where the footpath meets the road. Walked the footpath along Long Knoll to trig point. Great views but sun setting and getting a bit dull.

Cycled up Cokers Ln before using the un-signed FP that goes through the very nice houses garden. Working using a mini-digger didnt give me a second glance. Left bike at the stile at the bottom on the tumulus and walked up to trig. Very steep going! Good views all around, now that the sun is coming out.

Also called Long Knoll. Ascended at dusk; highlight was spotting my first-ever live badger near the top! Fortunately had camera in hand, zapped a quick shot and it came out reasonably well. Asphalt cap on TP.

Views are to be had here, but possibly not to be preceeded by 'good'. Bradley Knoll (or Long Knoll on the map) is quite prominent on the ground, being a Marilyn that's to be expected, but there just isn't much to see other than the flat surrounding land. Trig is good condition.

We parked at the entrance to Radmore Farm and walked up from there. On a concrete plinth and in good condition. Wonderful views in all directions. Tarmac plug

Approached from east. There's a rough bit a verge you can pull in on at high point of B3092. Watch out for big rocks, logs and holes though. Easy stroll up a surprisingly narrow (for this area) ridge with superb 360 degree views - highly recommended.

Easy to locate and access. It is a nice walk up along the ridge to the pillar, and on a clear day, like this one was, it igives a view worth walking to.

Excellent 360 Panoramic View. Many cows grazing round about. Sharp walk for the last bit. Trig reasonable with a few cracks and chunks missing, strange artifical plug. Looks like a primary. On the edge of Selwood Forest with good views of the chalk lands to the east and the forest below to the west. Last marilyn in the area. Pleasant walk along the long ridge from the East.
