Quick stop off on the way to Caernarfon. Lots of ways to get to the summit, we parked in the summit car park. Today, there was an icy cold breeze and grey skys. The views of the town and harbour were better on the lower slopes. The trig point appears to be in generally good condition albeit the plastic copy of a centre for the spider has got a hole in the centre. There are two engraved OS plaques on the pillar, one in English, the other in Welsh.

Wonderful spring like day after days of rain. Long three and a half hour circuit from Deganwy with Twiggy the Wonder Dog. Getting up was fine. Finding the way down (to SW) very tricky, lost the path at least three times, would be treacherous in mist.

Visited this pillar after a visit to the amazing ancient copper mines. Good views, but sited behind the summit complex spoilt it's commanding status

With my Brother in Law for his first ever trig visit (that he's aware of lol). Day trip to the seaside with family and friends. We walked up from the pier. Took 44 minutes, 712 feet. Spectacular location. Quite windy. A few others there who clearly weren't trig baggers. Had to wait a few minutes to get my obligatory selfie. Loved this one.

When I had my photo taken with Randolph Turpin I forgot to ask that we include the Trig Point - so here I am 64 years later. I wanted to try the cable car but it was not running as it was "too windy". Annoying, but I watch Coronation Street so I know things can go wrong. We resorted to the Tram as we did on our last, unplanned, visit when I inexplicably ignored today's objective. About an hour later, and several pounds poorer we had reached the summit. A glorious sunny day but bitterly cold. The views only slightly impeded by light sea mist. An interesting trip, but this isn't what trig bagging is about.

All the roads into the Great Orme Country Park were closed, so I parked on Ty'n-Y-Coed Road. Took the public right of way (PRoW) from Bishops Quarry Road, before veering west from the PRoW up to the summit of Great Ormes Head and the pillar. The cap was missing, so I replaced it. Fantastic views of Llandudno Bay, Conwy Bay, the sea, and a snow capped Snowdonia National Park from the summit

Visited whilst on holiday. Took the tram up for my Mum but couldn’t resist visiting the pillar. Amazing views and the trig point was in great condition. It’s worth a visit for the great cake at the cafe

Third trig of my stay in Llandudno. First, I walked all the way round the Great Orme on the Marine Road, great views, taking in St Tudno's chapel, what a location. En route I met an interesting bloke on an e-bike, he was wearing a stiff fabric boot splint on his left leg, recovering from a 'talus' injury. He was a retired outdoor pursuits coach (amongst many other things) who couldn't keep still. Back near the tram terminus in Llandudno I followed its route up to the top and bagged the trig, again, what a location. Hot weather but thoroughly enjoyable, especially the beer and meal in the 'spoons in Llandudno later on in the evening.

After a walk along the promenade of Llandudno, a visit to the copper mines eventually arrived at this pillar late afternoon. White pristine spider plug is missing. Could spend a couple of days exploring this limestone outcrop. An easy climb for a very interesting pillar.

Woohoo, pillar number 50! Nice ride up on the tram (would've walked but had my brother and kids in tow!). Lovely sunny day for it, great views in all directions. No plug in trig and Sightholes blocked but in good nick, nice coat of white. Nice milestone trig!

With the rain of storm Barra passed but winds very high it was not a day for mountains but the summit of the Orme was a great place to visit before descending to Llandudno bay near the pier and through Victorian quarter in very good nick and in Christmas sparkle

Companion and I had the Great Orme all to ourselves today and with storm Barra still sweeping in, one did not stay too long on the top. I had to crawl to the topography located next to the pillar. An interesting headland. Ferocious winds...as predicted, but we missed the rain. I gift the two pillars today to winter hotel deals/offers that don't involve "turkey and tinsle".

Let the car take the strain up from Llandudno (we were on our way home from Pwllheli and had limited time). The clutch got a good test on the way up; the brakes on the way down. The views are as excellent as other loggers have described. The nearby, disused limestone quarry is of interest, with its fossils.

On holiday in Llandudno with my daughter. So just for once I didn't walk up the hill, but took a tram! I don't like sharing my trigs with crowds, but on the positive side this is a remarkable viewpoint and is well worth a visit.

Chill day in Llandudno before a big hill walk the next day. Lovely sunny weather so had an evening trip on the tram up to the Great Orme. Nice views out to sea with a huge number of wind turbines.

A great walk up on a blustery day. Passed the ski slope, via St Tondo's and then circling round up to the top. The Summit complex might make the place look less beautiful, but the hot cuppa was more than welcome. Back down on the tramway. 207m Sue R, Me

Walking coastal path as a circular from Llandudno Junction. Good field paths to Llandudno then anticlockwise around Great Orme Head. A gale blowing much of the way. Diversion above St Tudno's Chapel to Great Ormes summit but could hardly stand up hence no picture taken.

Absolutely fabulous on the Orme today. Parked in Llandudno and walked to the summit. Our timing wasn't very good though, we had to wait an hour for a party of foreign students to move away, but once the area was free we were able to take our photo.

Fancied taking the tram up to this one, but 'adverse weather conditions' meant that the tram rides had been cancelled. Walked instead - took about 40 minutes. The intense cold had, I suppose, put many people off, because it was just me & the trigpoint up there; so fellow trigpointers, choose a bitterly cold Arctic day for a quiet visit....

I drove up to the car park at the tramway station and walked to short distance to the pillar. It was pretty crowded but I waited my turn for a photo! The pillar is in good condition but typically, it’s missing it’s plug. The views are OK but are better if you moved away from the pillar, the tramway and the cable car terminals.

Came to North Wales to do the Snowdon Horseshoe. Staying two nights in Llandudno so walked to the trigpoint after a fish and chip supper in 22 minutes up the tramway from the promanade. A lovely evening with nobody about – great views.

9.45 on Saturday morning and we had the place to ourselves. Came up from the Grand Hotel passing the ski slope on our left and across the, well moor isnt exactly right but across the grassy bit. Lovely views back to land. Snowdonia was looking broody with mist in layers from the foot of the hills to 2/3 of the way up. On a clear sunny day Id score it higher. NCOF!

Hazy views again today. Hides the worst of the North Wales coast. Crowded as normal for Easter Monday. A primary Trig Point with usual OS plates on the surface. Actually walked up from the Ski Centre. Bagged it in the company of AEH39. The 99th of my 100 for the Charity Year.

This was my first logged trig pillar and is one of my locals. I must have visited here many times as a kid in the late eighties and nineties. It was cold and overcast on this day and so therefore very few others were about. I walked up from town along the nice steep road beside the tram tracks. I descended via the goat filled graveyard to the north and then continued on to the ski slope. The sun was dipping behind the hill as I stood looking down over the pier. I had little idea then about how trig fever would come to grip me over the coming weeks and months.

Would have liked to have ridden the cable car up here, but it wasn't operating today so we drove up instead, although could have taken the train, or walked - the options are endless! Lots to do up here, cafe, mine, museums etc. We primarily came to bag the Marilyn with the trig being secondary (at the time).

Parked at the ski slope, mistakingly and walked up and across to this. We are sure it is probably lovely view in good weather, but in a storm force gail in the driving rain its not much to talk about. It was so wet and wind, we could not even stand up on the trig! Good condition from what we could make out. Raised brass rings on top, cap missing, and two OS plaques on the side.

Great location with views in every direction. Located next to the visitors centre which used to be the old telegraph station. Trig in good condition. You can either drive up, come up on the cable car, or my way was by tram. Makes it a bit more special.

No plug. Public. Great Orme Country Park. Steep road walk up from Llandudno, following tramway [closed for winter]. Prominent trig a little apart from nearby Summit Complex, surprisingly not dwarfed by it, & still governs the summit of the Orme. Majestic headland, with much to discover & explore, well deserves the epithet 'great'.

Well what can i say a very fine specimin indeed. Although I was slightly disapointed with my find, I travelled all the way to wales to see this magnificent slab of redundant concrete when in actuall fact, the rig located in hackenthorpe, Sheffield is far more pretty and of much more interest to anyone who considers themselves a true trig connoisseur!! The hackenthorpe trig is highly recommended and worth a visit regardless of how far away you are situated!

Walked up from the Ski Slope, via St. Tudno's church. It had been pouring down earlier so it was amazing to have such great weather. Wonderfull views across sea and mountains. I cannot believe I haven't been here before! Lost my mobile phone though, so managed to do the walk twice more (once with Simon once his ski course was over) looking for it - no luck :-( Me - then me and Simon five hours later! 207m

A nice ride up the Orme on the tram. Very wet and very windy indeed (Umbrella a right off!). I have been on the Orme many times in the past (when I didn't know what this was!) and I know that the views are amazing when sunny. However must give a mark of only 4 due to bad weather and poor view.

As I was also bagging the Marilyn, I parked down in Llandudno and walked up the tram track which is not running at this time of year. I had previously walked around the Orme as part of my England and Wales coastal walk - this section in 1984, and always promised myself that I would return and walk up the Orme one day. A smashng day with the sun setting over Snowdonia and Anglesey.

Second visit, first around feb 2003. Very popular location, with lots going on. Bronze age Copper Mine, Cable car station, tram station, hotel/resturant, visitor center to mention but a few. In good condition, with a (non OS) metal plug.

Well kept, local leisure spot. Had an S with the number. Primary, Public area. Obviously local pride and joy, judging by superb condition. Go up by tram or by car or walk, well worth it

Very good viewpoint over Llandudno from by the side of the cablecar station. By car you have to pay a toll or pay the parking fee!
