A security fence encloses part of the reservoir but easy access to pillar via the wooden gate on NW side of road. Plug intact; extensive surface cracks. Views blocked; presumably the reservoirs were constructed after the trig.

Pulled in gateway to reservoir pillar on the outside of the perimeter fencing, Easy bag just through a wooden gate. Trig does have all its metal work but does have several cracks going through it

(2036) Good parking options at site. Pillar is situated between two reservoirs but all that separates you from getting a closer look is a gated low wooden fence - nice. Sporting a GPS plaque, original centre cap, and though the screed finish is heavily cracked, it is largely intact.

Good roadside verge parking. Trig sits by the old covered resr, outwith the new security fencing for the new covered resr, so an easy field gate for access. Screed all over is badly fractured but all is in tact at present. Original centre cap retained, indented lettering; rear sight hole opn. No views.

re-visit. Adjacent to two reservoirs, but easy access through gate. Criss-crossed by cracks, but look to be old and dating from poor construction. Temporary traffic lights with three Severn Trent water tankers parked on road.

Easy access trig has large numbers of cracks this may be the rendering coat cement. As rough was covered so the cracking, quite a number has the same fault around the area.

This is at the moment one of the easiest trig points in a reservoir compound to access. There is some work being carried out and part of the old fence has been remove, leave a small gap to walk straight to the trig.

An evening bag on way back from day out meeting up with daughter and son in law in Melton Mowbray. Parked up as suggested by previous log, trig is easily found next to older reservoir. If this older one is still used to store water, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets fenced off with the trig becoming inaccessible: get bagging it quick, trighunters. Views mainly to east, with large transmitter mast, red warning lights shining.

Easy find. Pulled in to drive in to new reservoir. Pillar is behind moveable new fence in non restrictive old compound. Moved the fence and stepped through. Lots of cracks in pillar from half way down but intact on top.

Cap intact, pillar has quite a bit of cracking. There is a lot of building work adjacent to the pillar, but the pillar seems to have escaped so far.

Convenient pull-in just by the gate into the reservoir compound. Hopped over said gate for easy access to the pillar. Good view from there. Pillar has OS plaque.

An unintended revisit because of hasty planning. I had a quick look over the gate to confirm the pillar is still there but didn't get close so no other details noted. Assumed slightly damaged.

The pillar is located on the north side of a covered reservoir within the fenced compound but the gate by the handy pull-in is easy to get over. The pillar is quite badly cracked but seems to be holding together OK.

The last of twenty trigpoints visited with CURRYSCRIM. These were copied from a collection made by wrose and caroleengel on Jan 10th – I hope they don’t mind. Thanks for the copious logs and parking instructions. It’s getting dark now – I finish the day with great admiration for their efforts – it must have been far more difficult six weeks ago. An easy pillar to finish with. Back through the traffic in Loughborough now.

20/20 An easy find inside an enclosed reservoir compound. The pillar has a number of cracks. Again no problem with access to a reservoir. The end of a long but satisfying day and many thanks to What's the Point for driving and plotting out the route.

Joint visit with Carole. In reservoir compound next to the road. It was nice to be just able to climb the gate to get to the pillar as so many reservoir compound pillars are now being surrounded by security fencing. Some cracking but other wise seemed OK. Along with an indented letter plug it has a GPS Network plaque. This was to be the last of a very productive day with exceptionally good weather. The sun had just set when we reached this one leaving an orange coloured sky which is reflected in the photos that I took.

Nice location ,grass mowed Pillar cracked all round.Visited this one along with two others after walk around Asfordy.Intended to do three on Saturday but came with wrong survey map,nice evening but cold wind up here,off for food.

Located inside an easy-access reservoir compound. Cracks are appearing all over the pillar but it's intact with original plug - deeply-indented letters. The cracks are all down the W face from the tribracket and below the OS anti-vandal plaque. N sighthole open, the others closed. No paint. Fine views to N/NW.

Nice easy one, next to reservoir just behind the hedge from the road. Pillar cracking all over, but complete with all metalwork. Good views in all directions except view to S blocked by reservoir, which was presumably built later than the pillar.

This trig is located right next to reservoir and road. Otherwise an unremarkable location. A flock of sheep on the other side of the road, checked my visit with very much interest. I shouted mint source, and they all run away .....

Unttractively sighted on the grounds of a small covered reservoir which blocks the view. Locked gate; ploughed fields; an OS plaque telling you not to damage it, that's about it. Convenient parking for those who really want to visit it.
