Parked at start of path to the SW and followed the path up the hill ... did a quick right, left at the start of the forestry road to pick up the path on up the hill to the pillar ... as stated in the previous post, the ferns are pretty hi - a tad more than 5 foot now i reckon so had to fight to get thro' them in places! Only real views to the west (but what a view!!) as treetops obscuring other directions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8esqyaPAuw

Pillar has a dirty white coat of paint; original cap in place; 1 sight hole open. Extensive 360deg views: S to Clee hills; SW to The Lawley, Caer Caradoc & Hope Bowdler; E to The Wrekin; N across flat land.

One of the hardest trigs I've bagged due to taking a wrong route to it through the brambles and high bracken from the forest track! But a cracking view towards the Wrekin, Shrewsbury, the Stiperstones, the Berwyn Range, and the Arrans. Bagged it on a walk from Church Stretton taking in The Lawley and Caer Caradoc too. You can follow a detailed walking route and description of this walk by typing 'Fell inder' into Google, thanks.
