Walked up from Llanwonno forest car park, zig zagged up the forestry tracks to the trig. Beautiful 360 views at the trig.

From Coed Cae Aberaman mainly on forest roads with final approach from NE on good path through forest. Trig at high point on rocks in rough grass, field side of fence.

Parked at start of forest track at the 399 spot height which is also the 47 cycle route. Walked this track towards the trig point and turned off onto a curving track round to the trig. Very hot today and lovely clear views.

Drove up from Ferndale, great road- Italian Job springs to mind, a few BM on the way or not as the case was! Got to PROW at St Gwynno Forest pull in. Easy walk up to high point then take left (at a point where there has been a hammer head of stone laid on the right) following track winding around woodland to top, fence at present down so easy to access as trig is in clearing next to woodland. 1 sight hole open, spider, FB in place but no cap.

Third and final of the day. Parked in Penrhys and did a look bagging Rhondda Golf Club and Hafod. Good paths, well marked all the way. Set high on the ridge on a track off the main forest road. Very windy, good views. Good condition, spider and FB intact.

Away from the main tracks in Llanwonno woods. Good views over the valleys. After bagging the trig we spent a few hours walking all around the forest, to see the reservoir and waterfall too.

Views to the snowy Beacons through the trees and other local mountain tops but nothing else. Made a meal of this one choosing paths that ended up being cut off. Many areas to park in St Gwynno Forest. Combined with a stroll to Clydach res and waterfall

From the cattle grid SSE of pillar. A dull plod along a mostly arrow-straight forestry track is rewarded by a good view at the trig.

I parked in the forestry car park to the NE of the pub in Llanwanno then headed up the road NW to pick up the track heading NNW to the trig point. An easy walk if not too interesting. Once at the trig point the views over the valley began to open up. Its been a while since I have bagged a new valley's trig point!

Bit of a slog to get here after doing Pen Craig Abercwmboi and Coed Cae Aberaman tumps to the NE first. Parked at ST 0434 9753 where new solar farm is being built. Pillar sits in rough grassland near edge of a young conifer plantation. Top cap gone and no plug; rear sight hole open. Has a number of horizontal hair fractures. Views not noted but hill fog down so there would have been none.

Parkd to the SE just past aerial site. Fairly recent felling activity has opened up good views. Maybe its misplaced paranoia but am never happy leaving my car unattended in this area. Pillar in good condition with nice view back to the Beacons

Parked at ST 0232395886 for an easy walk along forestry track, take first main Left then follow round to the trig. Hop the fence on the corner before the trig. Maybe nice on a good day but nothing to write home about today. Back on the main track headed North then West, back to lake or Darwonno for an easy circular walk.

Good parking at the westernmost track into the forestry nothing at the eastern point flattish walk to forest edge then rough path along side to the trig. Trig itslef showing definite cracks at lower levels and has to drop down a grading to my mind
