Easy spot across the road from the Dog and Partridge. Surprisingly good views northwards of Manifold valley etc On our way to the Peak District via Trentham Gardens and Ashbourne.

Joint visit with Carole. We parked on the A52 road to the south-west near a cottage. Went through a gate opposite and we were in the field with the trig. In good condition but the original plug has been replaced by a plastic one.

The last of five trigpoint for the day – stopped for a pint of Nemesis brewed by Peakstones Rock Brewery of Alston at the Dog and Partridge returning from a walk to Blake Mere, Revidge and Hill House trigpoints. Surprised by the views from the trigpoint as it is so near the road.

I parked in a gateway and walked up. This trig point has beeped at my hundreds of times so I was glad to bag it today. Great views from up here. My phone pictures are not as good as others on here so I will not upload them.

Safest place to park is at the public house opposite. turn right out of pub then take first gate (almost opposite) then straight uphill to trig, which lies just over low stone wall. Excellent views today but bitterly cold.

Pillar in good condition except plug replaced by plastic insert. All sightholes open. Easy short stroll up from A52. No views today because of the mist, but should be good in clearer weather.

Spotted this while on the A52, going for a Geo-Caching Day in the Peak District. It's by a drystone wall on the edge of a pasture field about 100 yards off the main road. There is a plastic plug replacement otherwise it's all there! There are spectacular views from here, especially northwards.
