Drove up Waterswallows Road. Right onto lane beyond trig point. Walked past farm house and through gate on right. Trig point found in field at end of track. Good views.

1st of a 15 mile 3 trig hike and this was the best of them. Very pleasant walk up from near Topley Pike Quarry on the A6. small detour from the PRoW to an absolutely pristine pillar. Pretty good views from here on a clear blue sky day. Wormhill next.

Ten trigs bagged on the way to and around Buxton with a total of thirteen miles hiked for the day. This was the fifth of the day. Park near junction of Waterswallows Rd and follow PROW to the pillar. Reasonable views of surrounding area. The pillar appears to be in good condition and retains the original centre for the spider.

Parked at roadside at start of PROW then made the short walk along the side of the wall until you come to the field with the trig in it, Trig in excellent condition with all its metal work. Could do with a nice white paint job

Approached from the North as i had been trigging up that way and bumped into the farmer who was a lovely bloke. He said no problem visiting the trig but was bemused as to why i would want to. He also said it is better if people approach it from the PROW to the south as he puts the placid animals in that field and the rowdy bulls in the field to the north.

There are 5 pillars to be bagged in a day around Buxton +18 miles, this is the least interesting one of the lot. I would start here and progress to Axe Edge. We are at 300 metres and sitting very smug with our lowland chums flooded at the moment. So Buxton town is gifted today's pillar. Keep us dry.

Followed a wall up from Waterswallows Rd knowing the pillar was under the line of pylons. Just got to the top when the farmer came striding towards me. Expected a telling off but it turned out he was checking his heifers and seemed pleased to talk about Buxtons adverse micro-climate he had to endure. Views nowhere as good as Corbar HIll

The last of our Buxton town trigs, and a nice easy one to bag. Picked a grand afternoon for it, and the surrounding scenery looked gorgeous. On the way back, we got on the chat with the landowner of the section of path closest to Bux, a nice guy who was busy clearing the path, as he didn't like the thought of any walkers being stung by nettles...really lovely to encounter a considerate landowner!

Easy trig, second of the day; walked up Waterswallows Road and Green Lane and nipped into the field. Many dry stone walls are in poor state, no problems getting through. Trig is in good condition, it looks like it's been made with quality chippings. No outstanding views, however. On to Corbar Hill trig in Buxton.

Continued North from Black Edge, descending to Cowlow Lane via Lady Low. Passed through Dove Holes and then along Longridge Lane to PROW at SK085758. Took the track beside Waterswallows Quarryto Daisymere Farm then headed SW along PROW. No need to climb walls to reach the trig - immediately after passing through a kissing gate there is an ungated entrance to the field in which the pillar resides. Pillar is in good condition although sight holes are just below ground level. Least impressive views of the three today and shame about the pylons for company.

Parked on Waterswallows Road in a smallpull in by a track leading to the golf course. Crossed the road and over broken down wall, up two fields to the trig.Very good all round views on a slightly hazy day.

Metal plug [indented letters]. Private. Owner unknown. From Fairfield, take Waterswallows Rd to Waterswallows Mews, then follow the public footpath. Trig soon spotted up to left. Very easy access, as field walls broken down or non-existent.
