From the B3043, went straight up through the woods opposite The Red House. Once near the top you'll go over a trampled barbed wire fence and see a gate to your left. When you get over this gate and into the field you'll see the pillar about 30 metres to your right, along the hedge line.

After junction off A31 heading south, first left after about 500 metres. A few houses on right of lane, uphill to electric gates. From entrance gate to footpath next to electric gates turn immediately right, south west. Into field, pillar on field boundary on far side. In amongst tall nettles but not too dense. FB faces the fence. Cleared off a little moss but pillar growing its own coat from the ground up, so left as seen. View limited to north east across field.

Parking looked a problem at this one but managed to get a space in the lane by post box although cones have been put out deterring parking there. There was parking further north just before junction of A3090. From the Red House go up through the steep bank of the woods, over a couple of fences and the Pillar is at the edge of a copse.

Through the gate and trig is on your right at northern end of small corpse facing open field but the fb frustratingly facing wood and guarded by nettles.

Picturesque rolling views E to Field House farm; other directions obscured by hedgerows/tree line. Ladwell Hill is a class 0 tump.
