Heading uphill north west out of Fullerton, looking for somewhere to pull over, saw a lay-by on the verge on the right (north) side of the road, just pulling over and shocked to see the pillar on its side right there in by the fence. Sad state. Fortunately the FB was accessible on north side facing fence, although awkward. Brushed away nettles and long grass and took three attempts to get a picture of the FB. How and why did it end up on its side? Good views to the north.

Here's a sorry sight - I'm presuming TP in this case stands for Toppled Pillar. Had to stamp down on a lot of nettles to photograph the FB, but at least it's still there. Perhaps we should start a fundraiser to get this trig back in its proper position? I'll start by donating the 2p coin that's still in its sight hole...

Toppled, at the roadside with parking next to it, opposite the 2 comms masts. Very much overgrown with vegetation, so I chopped it all back. FB faces the fence, but still possible to photograph it. Centrecap is now missing, rear sighthole open (facing the road), left sighthole (facing the sky) and front sighthole (below the FB) closed. I placed a 2p coin in the rear sighthole for the next visitor to find.

Another easy roadside trig, with wide grass verge, on minor road to NW of Chilbolton. Pillar generally in good condition other than top screed starting to break up, but seems no further deterioration since Glaslyn's 2006 photo. Pillar close to wire fence with FB facing it, access into field required to get a decent shot of it. Original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; 1 sight hole open. Extensive 360deg views, particularly good E over Test Valley.

Walking in the Monxton, Amport and Quarley area today, and visited this trigpoint on drive home. The last time I visited Quarley Church it had three bells within its groundframe - incredibly in June 2006 two of the bells were stolen - how mean was that?

Trig Point looks somewhat forlorn by the side of minor road. Very weathered coat of white paint.Views are basically to the north over fields. Otherwise hedges lining road obscure.

In good condition on the side of the road opposite a pair of radio masts. Unfortunately, the flush bracket was pointing into a substantial bed of nettles, so I had to hack them back before I could determine the FB number. Metal plug with lightly indented lettering.

Stopped off en route home from a walk from nearby Fullerton (and the Danebury Hill trig). Easy find right by the side of the road, good condition but limited views. Vodafone planning application suggests developments maybe afoot.
