A bumpy and muddy cycle / push along the Oxdrove Way from Micheldever Woods. Pillar is easily accessible in the third field on the left, just before the tarmac starts. Base exposed and slight chipping to one corner.

From Itchen Abbas, a couple of kilometres north and east along footpaths to join the Oxdrove Way. Pillar visible in cultivated field. Stepping over as much as possible to reach. Good views. Very slight damage, chipped on one corner. Frosty clear morning. Saw several hares and deer.

Nice walk from Micheldever car park (well known for its Bluebells in Spring) and along the Oxdrove Way. As I approached the Pillar a Kite flew off from the top of it.

Peasant walk from The Plough in Itchen Abbas, no crop in the field. Very delapilated water tower close by.

Pleasant walk along Oxdrove Way from Northington Road to SE. Trig located 100m from path in arable field planted with a cereal crop. Pillar in good condition other than a chunk of concrete missing from a top edge. Original cap in place, indented lettering; rear sight hole only open. Extensive views N, S and W; E obscured by woodland.

Lunch at the Trout in Itchen Abbas then circular walk via Micheldever Woods, bluebells not great this year. Trig in newly planted field of peas so tiptoeing required. Large chip on N edge, W s/hole open, but otherwise vgc, metal cap indented letters. Good views incl Salisbury Plain to W and long run of S Downs. Water pump still standing!

Fine downland; walked many times. Called in at the Ship, Bishop's Sutton (or is that Bishops Sutton?) for a celebratory pint after visitng this trigpoint.

Walk in from the SE on byway then over field. Missed shot party by about 3 mins , was out of field by the time they appeared! Pillar slightly chipped. ok views

Walked from car park just over a mile away (SU529363). Middle of field location with a pretty good view over a wide area. Retains plug, shallow indented lettering. Still has remains of coat of white paint.

A pleasant walk up from the parking spot at Micheldever Wood. The windpump looks like it may collapse at any minute. Plug with indented lettering.

Slightly damaged as it's got a chunk missing. Metal plug with lightly indented lettering. On a concrete plinth in the middle of a field so it's a bit trespassy. It was once painted white. We saw a fieldfare and two deer on the way back.
