Parked north of the trig point near the 389 spot height in a small triangular area with a rough car park. Walking the Offa's Dike path south towards the trig point, a field gate gives easy access to the trig point.

Mark this up for the misty mood and the wonderful section of Offa's Dyke. BTW please folks we are in England (currently) but it is Llanfair! Not knowing where to end the walk until we see another trig...then a slow circuit to near Upper Wain (had to!) watching torrential deluges a few miles away courtesy of Wales again.

ODP#10: a very fine day indeed to visit this trig, with superb all round views. A red dragon has also appeared in the field opposite (notwithstanding this being England), must be fairly recent as I'm sure others would have commented on it! All s/holes open, but metal cap still in place (shallow letters), and overall vgc.

Along Offas Dyke from Knighton , the Trig is situated close to a fence in a meadow just off the path, from which a gate gives easy access, the Trig is in good condition with an original cap and four open sight holes . Panoramic 360 views

Circular walk out from Lloyney along Offa's Dyke Path to Newcastle and back via paths and minor lanes to west. Easy access through gate to trig point.

Oops, missed noticing that there is a Tump nearby. Walked along Off's Dyke with Duncan on the trig pointers weekend away. This was done as a bit of an impromptu walk having completed out main aim of the day, Beacon Hill. A nice addition.

Two of three with Ted today. Parking N in the car park, then along Offa's Dyke. pillar located a few meters off the ROW, one gate to hop, good condition, great views, loads of sheep. on to Cwm-Sanaham Hill next.

Pleasant walk S along Offa's Dyke after popping up onto Llanfair Hill. Pillar sits on a field boundary 40m SW of the RoW. Retains original centre cap, lightly indented lettering; all sight holes open. Fine 360deg panoramic views.

Having successfully visited four intended pillars decided to add the two along this section of Offa's Dike. There is an excellent track from the road to the NW giving good look at the Dike and easy access to the pillar. At the far end the track is worse - a sharp descent on a loose surface with kerbs to deflect rainwater.

Re-visit to photograph. Am amazed that this has not been visited since 2006 as must be such a popular place given proximity to Offas Dyke.Wonderful morning with great views,if you desire peace and quiet come here it is lovely!
