Trig in good condition if not a little dirty. 'Easy'roadside bag once the dodgy old gate is passed, into a muddy field and bagged. Another Marilyn down!

Easy bag once you work out where the field entry gate is to the SW.Trig is all intact views to one side last trig of the trip now the long drive back to Lancashire.

Just before the gate into the field, there's a double passing point on either side of the road opposite one another. Since there was nowhere else to pull-in, I tucked into one of these and nipped into the field. Easy roadside bag, don't even need to look for the trig pillar, you can see it as soon as you go through the gate!

Not sure why mitsiman didn't get to this one properly? Easy access over a metal gate (with trig on your right, go a bit further along lane to gate. Trig visible from gate). Slight trespass involved to get to the the trig itself, but I'm sure we've all done a bit of that when bagging these things? Good views of Titterstone Clee Hill and its big golf ball.

A contentious one this - Herefordshire for a start, also a recent Marilyn although the top not quite the "hill" top and although it won't count I suspect the bank on the opposite side of the road (covered reservoir?) is higher still. After a trip to Worcester Cathedral (in Worcestershire!) great to see, also great views to Malvern, Black Mountains (opposite the hedge) and across to Shropshire and Montgomeryshire (or Powys if you prefer).

You can see the trig in the field from the gateway, if you are traveling from the west. Saw tractor coming in opposite direction so cycled through gateway, to get out its way. But it followed me into the field. I asked the driver if I could see the trig and he gave me the thumbs up. As I walked up it and he overtook me. While I was looking at the trig he started to spread muck! Good thing I was about 20m away. Though I could smell it.

Located a few metres into a field from the roadside hedgerow, access can be gained to the field from a gate approx 100m along the road in a NW direction. This is an unremarkable trig other than it is also, as Hegdon Hill, a Marilyn (but it's also an unremarkable Marilyn). Some views to be had, but nothing spectacular. Pillar is in good condition.

Nice stroll up road from Pencombe.Good views of Malverns,Black Mountains & Clee Hill from the trig. Didnt hang around as a farmer type was nearby. Circular walk back via bridleways,muddy paths & the River Lodon

Piller certainly easier to get to than the Marilyn which is in the enclosure. I walked up the bridleway and then over the fence not realising that there was a gate nearby. The views from this were the best of the day. I do like this county.

Parked on verge at entrance to track at SO 58534 53895. Walked along track for 150m to gap in hedge. Easy climb over sturdy wooden fence then walked back along edge of crop field to trig and highest point beside fence.

At first I thought it was in the water compound but a glance over the gate corrected this! In a field of very curious cows! All intact with original plug - deeply indented letters. Some paint on all faces. Concrete base exposed about 4" where cows have gathered [they were there when I arrived]. All sightholes closed. There would be good views to the N/NW from here on a good day. If you go - beware of the cowpats round the pillar..........

Night time visit on way back from football - trying to find the marilyn summit (its in the gas enclosure.) Pillar is in nearby field for better views to the N and W. Good view of the High Vinnalls.
