Parked on sharp bend of A4107. Lovely walk along logging roads to trig which is now set in an open clearing easily seen from the track.

1/2 Bus from Port Talbot to Blaengwinfi, then plantation tracks to pillar in small clearing. Quite a maze of tracks, nearby felling suggests pillar may soon emerge into sunlight and shed its mossy coat. Back down different tracks to Blaengwinfi, not a soul about "this town is looking like a ghost town", a tribute to Terry Hall of "The Specials" whose death was announced today.

Nice walk along forest tracks from entrance point at sharp hairpin bend on main road. Lots of trees blown down during recent winds and trees being cut down south of the trig point. Parks of the track are closed to the public.

Parked at forestry entrance top of mountain(bend) 25min walk then sharp left onto a newly made road 400m and then in a clearing (right) visible from roadway through thin strip of trees. Trig good, a little chip off one corner and has a mossy covering. 2 sight holes open, spider in place with flush bracket.

Parked at Pen Pych for a three trig 12 mile hike around Blaenrhondda. First trig of the day. Paths easy to find up from the car park. Quite a steep hike up. Off the road in a clearing which is currently being deforested. Good condition and FB intact.

Caught train to Treherbert then walked via Blaencwm. For once tracks through forestry were not confusing. My 250 th Welsh TP since May 1996. A far better walk than I expected, quite scenic and no burnt-out cars.

Nice early morning foggy walk along forest roads. A couple of muddy bootfuls on other paths but all part of the fun. Located just off path in the trees.

Along forest tracks from Abergwynfi. Lots of bits of cars beside the path as though it's been used for rallys in the past. Pillar just off the path.

Parking in Blaegwynfi and accessing the forest by way of the track at top of Upton Street. Then used previous visitors useful advice and paths seen on Google to reach trig point which is just visible from the track. Continued east, to next target.
