Easy walk along coast path from Blaen-Baglan then followed several different forest tracks and finally a little overgrown trail to the trig. Barely a view from the summit as it's surrounded by small trees on all sides. Fourth trig of the day. Earlier we visited Cadair Fawr, Moel Penderyn and Foel Fynyddau. Then that evening we visited Broadfield trig.

Parked by farm Blaen baglan SS7597 9260 we've got 3 dogs so fab for us with the truck. Walked opposite through gate and followed the path down passed farm and then veered right up the coastal path to trig

Second trig on a three trig hike (after Daren Wen). Parked at Briton Ferry Park. Amazing view across Swansea Bay. Easy to find, clear footpath up off the Welsh Costal Path. Trig in good condition, FB and Spider intact.

Trig still in one piece but has some cracking especially to lower SW side which will be the first to go I guess. Not sure if someone has reattached this previously? Hence Slightly Damaged logged. Parked near Tesco and took the steps around the motorway which gives an interesting perspective to the motorway I've driven on for so long! Up a steep road to a steep path followed by steep steps until the top. follow path and veer left up another little climb until a small path appears on the right trig is up here 200m or so. Returned by continuing on path to the East. Trig has cracking and 1 sight hole open. Cap gone/filled but Flush Bracket and Spider in place. High score for views on route and the steps workout!

Visited on a geocaching walk with meltdiceburg. Climbed up Mynydd Dinas the very steep way (Mountain Road, then Wales Coast Path). Not much of a view from the trig as it's tucked away in the trees but great views on the way there.

Great views on route to this pillar from Balen Baglan Farm but the pillar itself is surrounded by small trees and brush which makes it harder to locate and obstructs any great views

walked in from west on welsh coast path which was being resurfaced as I passed, short diversion off to trig which is on a bit of a summit plateau with remnant woodland so view from trig not great but excellent view from edge of plateau over portalbot and coastal sweep round to swansea, old graffiti

Nice walk through the forest to the trig. Sad to see a little rubbish at the pillar and graffiti scrawled over it. Beautiful views from up here.

parked at SS 7616590611, nice sunny day. followed the welsh coast path up, very steep tarmac road followed by steep incline up steps to the top, followed until crossroads with the path that runs up to the trig, which is about 200 metres from main path through a smaller path which cuts through brambles and gorse. lovely views over Swansea bay to the south west, north east is Foel fynyddau, and north west is Darren wen.

saw nothing today.. except rain. parked at blaen baglan (loads of room) and followed excellent track almost to trig. horrid weather..though it got worse still later. trig still grafittied.. maybe a local bagger fancies re-whiting the pillar...?

Parked at end of lane due west of trig where a footpath goes into woodland. Followed path then doubles back on itself uphill. Then a track leaves the footpath and takes a direct route up the hillside. A bit of a slog but a quicker way up.

Parked at Cwmafan with PROWs to within 200m or so of the trig. Doesn't seem to be public access thereafter, but good tracks and plenty of dog walkers about. Pillar generally in good condition but with number of hair fractures and covered in graffiti. Cap missing, asphalt plug; rear sight hole only one open. Views S to sea, but not Port Talbot due to broadness of hill summit; W to Swansea and coastline; N and E to hills.

Parked at SS 76002 92648 for a slight detour of a walk up to the trig point to take in the views over Port Talbot. Trig point has grafitti on every face dating back to 2000.

Parked in Aberavon before walking up the side of the river and road to Cwmavan. Through the estate then minor roads to Foel Fynyau trig then bach and along roads and tracks to this trig. Lost the track for the last 200 meters in but found it again after I found the trig. No views today only mist.

From ENE starting at footpath to north of Pant Cemetry on road to Dinas House but then detour due to blocked path to left of DH then R across pony paddock, bear right thro blue bell wood, then head top left of next pony/horse field under wire then along ridge.

I also parked in the same spot as earlier logs. Hillside recently burnt again. Black and charred and a strong smell of ash. Trigpoint covered in graffiti, badly cracking and chipped.

Sounds like I parked in the same spot as mickandshane paths are a bit of a mess though with some of the tracks more visible than the official footpath. easier once you get onto the top pasture areas though. Trig still in good shape but now resprayed a a fluorescent green that also appears as markers in places at the top of the route. Good view point but too hazy today

We parked south east of the trig on a street which is separated from the M4 by a large retaining wall. The paths quite straightforward then, although it's a bit of a hike. The 1998 Explorer map I've got shows the area as being wooded, but the trees are all gone, only charred stumps remaining. This means you get excellent views of the new gas-fired power station at Baglan Bay, where I spent many hours when it was being built. Tarmac/concrete plug.
