Cycled North-West along Ringwood Road and was just able to spot the pillar through the thinning roadside hedge. Entered the field through a wooden gate about 50 metres West of the junction of Harrow and Ringwood Roads. Sweetcorn in the field had recently been cropped so I saw the Trig as soon as I got through the gate. Followed the field edge round to the hedge-dwelling pillar which is leaning very noticeably to the South. The spider is still clinging on to the damaged top, but only just. Thanks once again to Trigger monster for the gardening.

Walked south along eastern field boundary. Tried to judge location using OS map. Not in plain view, but approximately 75 metres south of the north east field corner opposite Harrow Road. Just visible through overgrown brambles and prickly hedge. A bit of pushing and squashing to reveal pillar. Badly eroded concrete around spider and leaning at about twenty degrees to the south. Views to the west across open field. Young corn crop at the time. Number 19 today.
