Nice site for a FBM here in a very lonely corner of Southern Scotland. On my way hiking over to Langholm from Newcastleton, this was very handy to pick up on route. Kirk Hill pillar less so in the wet conditions, but I did still go there anyway.

Parking in the old quarry entrance (closed off by large rocks) FBM is in good condition and located 100 plus meters up behind the old quarry I walked along the right-hand ridge. looks to be polished by sheep. great remote location, very windy today.

Revisit because (a) looked like a suitable route to Kirk Hill pillar; (b) I didn't take a GPS reading last time; (c) the weather was as glorious today as it had been awful last October. ~~ 07/10/21 Second of 15 today, couldn't appreciate the views really lousy weather!

Not much to say about this. Found after walking up from the Bedda Hill bolt. Evening time when we visited so it was a bit foggy and getting dark, but a straight-forward walk.

Up the hill from the small quarry next to Bedda Hill bolt heading very slightly to the right They are only a couple of hundred yards apart. Beautiful views to the south & west from the FBM. A nice place to bring up our 100th trig log :-)
