Been on the list to do for a while this, an old stomping ground from the early 2000s revisited at last... once tge trig partner is rescued from a pointless bracken infested incorrect route! Bodnant Gardens earlier, Italian restaurant with the family later.

Granite pillar with ‘hemisphere top hat’ bolt with central dimple. No height tag nor ‘play pen’ GC. On path side of DSW in moss and dead bracken. Obvious.

Parked on Sychnant Pass Road. Took the public right of way from there up to the FBM. Bolt and BM plate present, plus 2 passive station plaques. However, no height tag.

Snooked this little baby in on my fudged return to Conwy. Of my few visits to FBMs this had the best location...rural and easy to spot on the track and next to the wall. Fish, chips, peas and a pot of tea is Pensioners Special and deserves this FBM. Waitress service and lovely staff at Fish Express.

2 of 2 on day 1 of my N Wales visit. Drove from Conwy and parked up on the W car park on the Sychnant Pass and walked up a couple of local hill tops before bagging the FBM. Good views from Allwen and on top of the Conwy Mountains ridge, the Great Orme was particularly good from the latter. Dropped back down through annoying spiky gorse and luckily stumbled on the FBM. Nothing spectacular, but hey, it was part of the walk. Got lost on the way to the car park, coming across tan coloured horses, some foals. Were they wild? Finally retrieved the route and got to the car. A busy but enjoyable day.

Loved the walk to here and up to the hill fort. Easy spot and all in good nick. Limited views from this height but great a few feet higher!!!

Great place for walking. Hills covered with heather and gorse. I passed an upright stone under a nearby tree with what looked like an OS mark at SK75380 77499. See photo. Just noticed that this was previously logged by "trigging on an island' Perhaps he used the tree for the same purpose as me!

The FBM is tucked in next to a dry stone wall next to a track on the lower southern slope of Conwy Mountain in Snowdonia to the west of Conwy Town. It appears to be in good condition with the usual plaques but has lacks a height tag. The view is of the mountains of Snowdonia and the hills of Denbighshire and Clwyd. It was visited on a very pleasant walk on Conwy Mountain from Sychnant Pass.

Visited on a walk from Conwy to Penmaenmawr to log several trigs in the area. I also noticed a rock with the familiar OS Benchmark symbol on it nearby (see pic).

Another FBM we didn't know existed, just stumbled across it at the end of a walk on Conwy Mountain, Penmaen-Bach and Alltwen. After just stumbling across 2 FBMs we decided to actually look for them next time.

The first FBM I've been to that isn't on the roadside. A lovely walk in with views of the Carneddau, Great Orme and Puffin Island. Wild horses around saw a stoat on my way back.

Easy to find close to a stone wall along a byway from Conwy on Mynydd y Dref (Conwy mountain). Nice walk from Capelulo and good view over the bay and Ynys mon.

Hard against a stone way, near top of Conway Mountain. Unusual place for FBM. Worth going to top, views across Great Orme to Isle of Man on a good day, and inland to Snowdonia. Pillar OK, surrounded by ferns.

A most unusual spot for an FBM, hard up against a dry-stone wall and well off the road. It has three metal plaques but no height plaque. Easily spotted this time of year as the brackem has died! Lovely views from here especially S towards the hills.

Found easily next to a wall on our way down from Conwy Mountatin where we were on a geological mapping exercise as part of a team building trip to Conwy.

The most 'remote' FBM that I've visited, wonderful location, take the time to visit the hill fort on the summit of Conwy Mountain, the views are superb. I'm only saying Slightly damaged because the Height Plate is missing, otherwise all in order.

The views from up hear are excellent and access is possable via the Byway or several footpaths, although expect your 4x4 to get scratched if driving.
