Whoo... number 900. A FBM with height tag and railings makes it a suitably special one. Ivy and nettle trimmed a little. Just over into Worcestershire. The beautiful shapely little hills half glowed as trees move between green, gold, red and brown to compensate for the grey sky, rain on its way and myself soon on the way back home, glad to have achieved a triggy landmark.

Been a good long while since bagging a new FBM, so it worked out very well that this one was only a short distance off my route anyway. Did a bit of pruning back inside the railings too.

Easy bag just off of main road, on way back home from Wales, very overgrown this time of year, earlier that day re-bagged Plynlimon and bagged Pen.Y.Garn and Crugyn Ci trigs, hot and sunny all day.

Summer growth has almost buried this. luckily block is within a railed enclosure so did not take too long to find. cleared as much of the growth as we could but did not have strimmer!! Good views to the north from here.

Room for just one car to pul in opposite this one. I can imagine that in the summer this one gets pretty overgrown but at this time of year it is still very visible and looks in good condition.

Railings being used as trellis by convolvulus and nettles etc around, but inside, surprisingly, largely clear. Easy road side.

A big difference form the last photos on this site from 2005. Some nettles etc growing around playpen and some inside, but generally easily accessible. Hopped into the pen and weeded around the pillar & removed moss, but didn't need to do too much. FBM in good condition; has retained its height tag - 264.83ft. Playpen railings have suffered over the years, but just doing their protection role.

Railings somewhat dented by road traffic, but pillar itself looks sound inside its protective forest of nettles! Spent rather longer here than I intended. as my car decided to lock my keys in! :-(

E edge of road just N of outbuilding, enclosed in railiings, filled with deep vegetn. Park briefly in track entrance opposite

Found this easily, right by the side of the lane and surrounded by green railings. Exact height on metal plate - 264.83 feet. Another metal plate warning of not damaging it, etc. It looks as if the vegetation inside the railings has been recently cleared. Good views northwards. Adjacent to a small cottage.
