Parking to the W, then across the moors I initially went up on the high point, only to realise the pillar is lower down than the quarry workings. nice stroll up in perfect weather. Ravens circling & Skylarks singing.

I had been in Plymouth today to say farewell to an old letterboxing friend... so afterwards I needed a quick blast out on the moors and decided to walk out around here.. great spot.

Simple accent up a track, leaving road opposite a cross. close-ish to china clay works but in no danger of being destroyed. Bridle path runs nearby

A pleasant walk up across Access land to this trig which is, as previously said, overpowered by the china clay works. A nice spot though with skylarks singing and wild ponies and sheep wandering around. Our last trig on Dartmoor above 300 metres. Plug with raised lettering.

Located on the edge of the China Clay works with evidence of stone boundaries around the mount. View to the SE is towards Plymouth. Quiet place with plenty of bird song everywhere. Central cap is missing.
